    Scott Lawrence – God

Born and raised in Madrid, Spain, Scott Lawrence currently calls Nashville, TN his home. With a background in opera, Scott holds a M.M in Vocal Performance and has served as an instructor at Alabama School of the Arts since 2016. Scott is also a founding member of the vocal group Veritas and has toured full-time with the 5-person recording group since 2012. Although his training and experience spans multiple styles, from opera, crossover, and pop, to even competing internationally in barbershop, his classical foundation always re-establishes itself as his first musical love. Memorable stage credits include: Balthazar in Menotti’s Amahl and the Night Visitors, Simone in Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi, Don Basilio in Rossini’s Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Don Bartolo in Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro, The Secret Policeman in Menotti’s The Consul, the title role in Gilbert & Sullivan’s The Mikado, Jud Fry in Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Oklahoma!, and Grantaire in Les Miserables.

In 2018, Scott had the privilege of performing the role of God in the 25th Anniversary Production of Nelson & Farrell’s Saviour at Carnegie Hall in NYC. When not teaching or traveling with Veritas, you’ll most likely find Scott sharing a cup of craft coffee with his wife Ellie, also an accomplished violinist and vocalist, or practicing his best dad jokes on his daughter, Ivey. Scott is equally as passionate about the visual arts as he is about music and has worked professionally as a visual artist for more than a decade. When not singing, painting, designing, discussing philosophy of the arts and theology, or pursuing the perfect cup of coffee, he is most likely diving into the deep black hole that is Wikipedia.

Ric Flauding – Arranger & Orchestrator

    Please Note:

Our dear friend, Ric Flauding, passed away suddenly in Arlington, Texas, not long after we wrapped the recording. We miss Ric: we were friends for thirty-seven years, and had done several projects together. Ric was an amazingly talented arranger and orchestrator. He was a genius at arranging. I imagine he is instructing the angels in heaven right now how to better their arrangements. Thank you for the beautiful arrangements and orchestrations. RIP, Ric!

Ric Flauding is a uniquely gifted artist and an award-winning arranger-orchestrator-composer-conductor. He has been called a “poet without words” because of the dramatic emotional content of his music.

Ric’s clients range from Dave Mustaine (Metallica/Megadeth) to the London Symphony. He has arranged-orchestrated and composed music that has been recorded by Nashville Recording Orchestra, the London Symphony, Prague Symphony Strings, Fort Worth Symphony as well as hundreds of projects for recording studio ensembles in LA and other locations.

Ric’s Artist recordings have charted commercial radio and have been used in television-film. Recent highlights have included four performances of his orchestral arrangement “O Sacred Head” at the Vatican.

David Davidson’s list of string recording credits – over 20,0000 songs – is the best testimony to the outstanding success of his playing and arranging in the commercial music world. He often refers to Nashville as ”The Vienna of the 21st century”, and he lives that vision.
